The "Do What's Right" Program

At Area Wide Services, we believe in doing more than just keeping homes comfortable — we believe in taking care of our neighbors. That's why we're proud to partner with American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning on the "Do What's Right" program.

Each year, we select deserving individuals, families, senior citizens, non-profits, or organizations in our community to receive a brand-new American Standard HVAC system — completely free, including professional installation. In the past, this giveaway has been valued at up to $16,225.

Since launching the program in 2023, we've been honored to provide comfort where it's needed most. Whether it's a veteran who served our country, a family going through a tough time, or a local organization making a difference, the "Do What's Right" program is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us for over 20 years.

How to Nominate Someone

Know a family, individual, or organization that could use a new HVAC system? Here's how to nominate them for our annual "Do What's Right" giveaway.

1. Fill Out the Form

Submit a nomination using our online form. Tell us about the person, family, or organization you'd like to nominate and why they deserve a new HVAC system.

2. Spread the Word

Follow us on social media, like and share our giveaway post, and tag two people to help us reach more deserving nominees in the community.

3. Winner Announced

Our team reviews all nominations and selects the recipient(s). Winners are announced publicly and the new system is professionally installed at no cost.

Making a Difference, One System at a Time

Since 2023, the "Do What's Right" program has helped multiple deserving recipients right here in our community. Here are some of the families and organizations we've been honored to help.

VFW Post #3366 — Corsicana, TX

On Veterans Day 2025, we were proud to honor our nation's veterans by giving back to VFW Post #3366 right here in Corsicana. This year, Area Wide Services was honored to help three deserving nominees connected to our nation's veterans through the "Do What's Right" program. It's our way of saying thank you to the men and women who have served our country.

Kenneth — IOOF Orphanage

In the fall, we had the priviledge of replacing a unit for Army Vetran and longtime resident of Corsicana, Kenneth. After joining the U.S. Army at 17 amd serving honorably in Germany, he returned to Corsicana and spent 45 years in the printing business — 35 of those right here in town. When Kenneth's health took a turn and their central AC unit went out, he and his wife Peggy were left relying on window units on a fixed income. Area Wide Services was proud to step in with a new American Standard system through the "Do What's Right" program — because families like Kenneth and Peggy's are exactly why we do this.

Local Veteran

In September 2025, replaced an outdoor unit for a long-time customer and disabled veteran. Thanks to American Standard for helping us make this happen. Serving those who served our country is something we'll never take for granted.

2024 Growth

In our second year of the "Do What's Right" program, we received dozens of nominations from across the community. The 2024 giveaway included a free A/C unit along with professional installation, valued at up to $16,225. Nominations were open to individuals, families, senior citizens, and non-profits within our 5-county service area.

2023 — Where It All Started

2023 marked the very first year of our partnership with American Standard on the "Do What's Right" program. What started as a desire to give back to the community that has supported us since 2003 has grown into an annual tradition we look forward to every year. We're grateful to American Standard for believing in this mission with us from the start.

The "Do What's Right" program is a partnership between Area Wide Services and American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. Each year, we select deserving members of our community to receive a brand-new HVAC system, completely free, including professional installation.
